MAROON 5 Released their Second Studio Album
Maroon 5 has won several awards for its debut album Songs About Jane. Released in June 2002, the album enjoyed major chart success, going gold, platinum, and triple platinum in many countries around the world. In support of Songs About Jane, Maroon 5 toured extensively throughout 2003 – 2005, in which a live album was released, entitled Live - Friday the 13th. Original member Ryan Dusick left the band in September 2006, due to injuries sustained by the constant touring, and was replaced by Matt Flynn.
After a hiatus from the music scene, Maroon 5 released their second studio album, It Won’t Be Soon Before Long in May 2007, five years after Songs About Jane. The second set debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 with first week sales of nearly half a million. The album has since gone on to become platinum with 1.8 million albums sold in the United States alone and over 3.5 million world wide.

DREAM THEATER on Tour!
Dream Theater is an American progressive metal band from Long Island, New York formed in 1985 under the name “Majesty” by John Myung, John Petrucci, and Mike Portnoy while they attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, United States, which they all dropped out of to support the band. Though a number of lineup changes followed, the three original members remain today along with James LaBrie and Jordan Rudess.
Dream Theater has become one of the most successful progressive metal bands since the height of the genre in the mid-1970s. Although the band has had a few successful hits (notably PlayPull Me Under in the early 1990s, which received extensive MTV rotation), they have mostly stayed underground for their career, feeding off support from their fans.
Dream Theater’s (commonly abbreviated ‘DT’) two highest selling albums are the gold selling Images and Words (1992), although it reached only #61 on the Billboard 200 charts, and Awake (1994) which reached #32 on the Billboard 200. Recently Systematic Chaos entered US Billboard 200 at #19. Dream Theater has sold over two million albums in the U.S., and over 8 million albums and DVDs worldwide.
In January of 2005, the band obtained their first United States platinum disc (representing 100 000 DVDs sold) with Live At Budokan, recorded April 2004 in Tokyo, Japan.

COLDPLAY on Tour!
Coldplay
Coldplay is a British alternative rock band, formed in London, United Kingdom in 1997. The band comprises vocalist and pianist Chris Martin, lead guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman, and drummer Will Champion.
Having released four successful albums, (all of which debuted at #1 on the UK album chart) Coldplay have also achieved great success with their singles, such as Yellow, Speed of Sound, the Grammy-winning Clocks and the US and UK #1 single Viva La Vida.
Frontman Chris Martin credits 1980s Norwegian pop band a-ha for inspiring him to form his own band.
Coldplay’s early material was often compared to that of Jeff Buckley and Radiohead, while also drawing comparisons to U2 and Travis. Since the release of the band’s debut album, Parachutes (2000), Coldplay has also drawn influence from other sources, including Echo and the Bunnymen and George Harrison on A Rush of Blood to the Head (2002) and Johnny Cash and Kraftwerk for X&Y (2005).
Coldplay are one of very few current British music acts to achieve major success in North America. Despite their large worldwide popularity, the band has remained protective of how their music is used in the media, refusing its use for product endorsements. In the past, Coldplay had turned down multi-million dollar contracts from Gatorade, Diet Coke, and Gap, who wanted to use the songs “Yellow”, Trouble, and Don’t Panic respectively. According to Martin, “We wouldn’t be able to live with ourselves if we sold the songs’ meanings like that.” On the other hand, “Yellow” has been used to back TV trailers for “The Simpsons” and “Viva la Vida” from their latest album features on the current iTunes TV advert.

Country's Hottest Crossover Artist
Taylor Swift is the biggest country star of 2009.
Her sophomore album, "Fearless" (Big Machine), has spent the most weeks at no. 1 on Billboard's Top 200 this year and has been certified triple platinum. Also, her single, "You Belong to Me", sits at no. 1 on the country charts and no. 2 on the pop charts, and that's what maybe the most impressive.
While country music always has its share of stars, the genre hasn't seen this kind of crossover success since Shania Twain's heyday a decade ago; even then, Twain, whom Swift counts as a major influence, didn't match the 19-year-old's across-the-board appeal. Swift looks as comfortable singing with '80's rockers Def Leppard as she does hanging out with her pal Miley Cyrus.
What makes it more special is, though, is that she has done it all essentially on her own terms. "I wrote every song on it. I co-produced it. So to have people go out and actually buy it? It's wonderful." she said.
For Swift, songwriting is a major part of her story. The Pennsylvania native was first signed to a publishing deal with Sony/ATV Music at age 14. By the time she reached 17, she became the youngest person to write and sing a no. 1 country single entirely on her own when "Our Song" topped Billboard's country single's chart.
Swift sold over 600, 000 copies of "Fearless" in its opening week in November, making it her first no. 1 pop album and proving that country music's appeal far broader than many expected.
It proved, in impossible to dispute numbers, what many country artists had always said - that their music is just as viable in the pop world as any other games.

Michael Jackson's 51st birthday to be his Burial Day
Michael Jackson's body will be laid to rest on August 29, the day the King of Pop would have turned 51.
Joe Jackson, 80, said the birthday burial at Los Angeles' Forest Lawn Cemetery would be a private event, although he could not say which family members would be present.
The singing star's interment is to be held more than two months after his June 25 death from heart failure.
Authorities are investigating whether prescription drugs played a role in death the death of Jackson, 50, and have focused on the role played by his personal physician Conrad Murray.
Murray was present at the time Jackson died and reportedly has admitted prescribing powerful anesthetics to his world-famous client.
Joe Jackson, who spoke to AFP in Las Vegas, said he plans to return to the city immediately after the burial service to attend a charity fundraiser in the famed Palms Casino Resort.
The event, "Las Vegas Celebrates The Music of Michael Jackson," is to showcase Las Vegas Strip entertainers singing hits made famous by the pop icon.
Later that day, the Jackson family patriarch is to receive a celebrity star in his late son's honor from the Brenden Theatres, a cinema at the Palms frequented by Jackson and his children.
The theater also has planned a charity screening of the 1988 film "Moonwalker," a feature film of Jackson concert footage and music video clips, with proceeds going to public school music education programs in Las Vegas.

Bow Wow making music with Lil Wayne's Cash Money
Young rapper Bow Wow is officially out of retirement.
After announcing his departure from the music game to focus on his acting career earlier this year, the 22-year-old sent out a Twitter message that he has joined Cash Money Records' stable of artists.
"It's official, I'm a Cash Money Millionaire," Bow Wow, who had parted ways with longtime label Columbia Records earlier this year, told his thousands of followers on Twitter.
In previous postings, he explained that he was deciding between two recording options: signing to T.I.'s Grand Hustle camp through Atlantic Records or relaunching So So Def with longtime mentor/producer Jermaine Dupri.
Bow Wow's last album, "New Jack City II," for which he reunited with Dupri, sold a meek 73,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Lady Gaga in Manila
When Lady Gaga started singing, there was silence. They all listened to Gaga's amazing voice. Boy did she put up a show - constant costume change, extraordinary dance moves, a bubble-filled lucite piano and hot male dancers!
"I'm your biggest fan I'll follow you until you love me, pa pa paparazzi", everybody in the stadium sang their hearts out. Not a moment did she let us down.
With the little space that she had, she performed her up-tempo dance moves wearing '70's pop glam outfits and signature tanga. Wowing the audience with her powerful pipes, she was ultra sexy in her nude latex bikini.
The new Pop Princess rendered an acoustic "Poker Face" wearing a Hussein Chalayan bubble dress and ended the show with the original version of the hit song.
Lady Gaga was overwhelmed with the warm audience reception and said that she cried six times at the first few songs because of it. She kept on saying how much she loved Manila.
"See you next year, Manila!". It didn't look like she wanted to leave and it kept us wanting for more.

King of Pop's Impersonator on the Stage
Frederick Henry, a well-known Michael Jackson impersonator has become so hot at the Stratosphere in Las Vegas to the point that he needed a lot of security to keep his fans from brimming him. Henry has been so thankful because they’re showing love.
Everything, Henry said, changed when Jackson died June 25.
Fourteen years after getting his start as a "Mike," Henry said he never gets tired of performing as "the greatest entertainer that ever lived."
"I love it. I love it!" he said. "Plus, the check's nice." :)
